Nước sốt: cho 1 muỗng dầu hào, 1 muỗng nước tương, 1/2 muỗng đường, 110ml nước vào ly đong và khuấy đều lên. Trộn đều 2 muỗng bôt bắp, 1 muỗng nước rồi khuấy đều. Đun nồi nước, cho chút muối, dầu ăn vào nấu tên lửa vừa, thả xà lách vào trụng sơ rồi lấy ra cho ráo nước.
Đun nóng chảo với đầu, phi thơm tỏi, chế nước sốt vào nấu cho sôi, khuấy đều, chế nước bột bắp vào khuấy đến khi sốt sệt lại và tắt bếp. Cải cho ra dĩa, rưới nước sốt lên là xong nha.
